Young Adults Drug & Alcohol Service
is a multi-agency service for young people under the age of 19 years whose lives
are being adversely affected by drugs and/or alcohol.
Assessment, one to one sessions, self esteem group work & medical support are
given in a confidential, user friendly environment.
The team is made up of:
- Essential Drug and Alcohol Servicese.
- Bournemouth Education Service
- Youth Offending Team
- Bournemouth & Poole Social Services.
- Dorset NHS Health Care Trust.
This partnership ensures that you get the best possible service available in the
area.

Normally all information you give us is CONFIDENTIAL.
What do we mean by CONFIDENTIAL?
- The information about yourself and what you do is kept within the YADAS team.
However, if we feel that there is concern for your safety or the safety of
others, we will reserve the right to take further appropriate action.
- This will be discussed with you first and may involve contacting other agencies
who can help you.
- If you are between 13 - 16 years old and require regular support, but you
do not wish your parents to know, we will need to carry out a further assessment.
This will ascertain if we can LEGALLY respect your wishes.
